Consumer Information
This section lists your name and address, the date it was first reported to the credit bureau by one of your creditors, and the date the information was last updated. This section also lists the name and address of your current employer. If your report contains information about any previous employers, it will also be listed.

Summary Information

Account Distribution
This section includes a categorized list of your accounts, a table which displays your account payment history, a description of any public records, summary information about any inquiries of your credit in the last 6 months, and a total count of all open and closed accounts. Additionally, if you have asked the credit bureau to include a comment on your credit report, it will be listed here.

Credit accounts are divided into several categories:
 
  Real Estate Primary and secondary mortgages on your home.
  Installment Accounts Accounts comprised of fixed terms with regular payments, such as a car loan.
  Revolving Accounts Accounts comprised of opened terms with varying payments, such as a credit card account.
  Collection Accounts Accounts seriously past due including accounts assigned to an attorney, collection agency, or credit grantor's internal collection department.
  Other Accounts in which the exact category is unknown. This could include 30-day accounts, such as an American Express account.

Payment history information is displayed in a table, with a row for each account category, and a row for the total accounts:
 
  Count Total number of accounts you have in the given category.
  Balance Total amount you owe on all accounts in the category.
  Payment Total monthly payments you must make on all accounts in the category.
  Current Number of accounts in the category that are properly paid.
  Delinquent Number of accounts in the category for which payments are past due.
  Derogatory The number of accounts in the category that negatively impact your credit rating.
  Unknown Number of accounts in the category whose condition was not reported by the credit bureau.

Open/Closed Accounts
This is a total number of all accounts that are either open or closed.

Public Records
This gives a count of any public records in your name, and the total amount of money involved for all public records. Public records may include judgements against you in civil actions, state or federal tax liens, and/or bankruptcies. More information on public records appears in the Public Record Information section.

Inquiries
Authorized agencies may request your credit report information from time to time. An inquiry is when your credit information is supplied to an authorized person upon request. The Summary Information section tells how many creditors made inquiries into your credit report within the last six months, and how many employers made inquiries into your credit report within the last two years. More information on the inquiries appears in the Inquiry Information section.

Account History Information
This section of your credit report gives detailed information about the credit accounts in your name. Credit accounts are divided into several categories— Real Estate, Installment, Revolving, Collection and Other.

 

For each account, the report displays a table which provides the following information:

 

 
  Creditor Name The abbreviated name of the the person or agency that gave you the credit account, such as a bank, credit card company, or mortgage lender. Detailed information on each creditor, including address and phone numbers, appears in the Creditor Information section.
  Type/Condition Indicators These graphics help to quickly show general data about each account.

Account Type Indicator
The first box indicates the account type (Real Estate, Installment, Revolving, Collection, or Other).

The second box indicates whether the account is open or closed.

  Account An identifying number for your account. Typically, this would be a credit card number for a credit card account, or a loan identification number for a mortgage.
  Acct Type Indicates the account's specific type. Some common types are Real Estate, Automobile, Educational, Credit Card.
  Monthly Monthly amount that you must pay on this account
  Date Opened The date when the account was opened.
  Balance The amount you presently owe on the account, based on the last reported activity. Very recent activities may not yet have appeared in the bureau's computer system, so this balance may be a few days out-of-date.
  Terms The number of monthly payments scheduled.
  Date Reported The last date when any activity in this account was shown. Activities include payments, credit card billings, etc. Very recent activities may not yet show on your account, since it takes time for them to appear in the bureau's computer system.
  High Balance The most you have ever owed on this account. In the case of a credit card, for example, this would be the highest balance you’ve ever run up. For a mortgage, it would be the initial amount of the mortgage, not the current paid-down principal.
  Limit For a credit card or other revolving account, the maximum amount of credit approved.
  Past Due The amount of payment overdue as of the most recent reported activity. Very recent payments may take a few days to appear on your credit report.
  Account Condition A detailed description of the account's status as of the last reported date.
  Remarks If there are any remarks by you or your creditor included in the account information, these remarks will appear here.
  Payment Status A brief analysis of the account's payment condition, according to the most recent update.
  Two Year Payment History At the bottom of the account information, you will see a histogram that illustrates your payment history for the account. An explanation of the histogram is provided below:

  Unknown No information is reported for this month. This could mean that the creditor did not report your information to the credit bureau during this month, that the account was not yet open, etc.
  Current Paid The payment was received by the due date for this month.
  30 Days Late The payment was not received as of 30 days after the due date.
  60 Days Late Payment was not received as of 60 days after the due date.
  90 Days Late Payment was not received as of 90 days after the due date.
  120 Days Late Payment was not received as of 120 days after the due date.
  150+ Days Late Payment was not received as of 150 days after the due date.
  Payment Plan A payment arrangement has been agreed to by the creditor and the consumer.
  Repossession or Foreclosure The account was either assigned to a collection agency or charged off by credit grantor.
  Collection or Chargeoff The account was turned over for repossession or foreclosure.

Inquiry Information
Unless it's your own personal inquiry, every inquiry that has been made into your credit history is recorded. Details about each inquiry include the name of the creditor or potential creditor who made the inquiry and the date when the inquiry was made.
Please Note: An excessive number of creditor inquiries may adversely affect your creditworthiness.

Public Record Information
All publicly available information about legal matters affecting your credit are listed here. These public records may include judgements against you in civil actions, state or federal tax liens, and/or bankruptcies

 

For each public record, some or all of the following information may appear:
 
  Public Record Type The type of record: Tax Lien, Bankruptcy, Wage Item, Judgement, etc.
  Status Current status of the record.
  Date Filed/Reported Date when the record was initially filed or created.
  How Filed The role that you play in the record. Usually the record is filed either Individually or Jointly.
  Reference No. Identifying number for the record.
  Closing Date Date when the record was closed or judgement was awarded.
  Court Name The court or legal agency that has jurisdiction over the record.
  Plaintiff Plaintiff in the case of a legal judgement.
  Amount Dollar amount of the lien or judgement.


If the Public Record is a Bankruptcy, three other fields will be visible:
 
  Liability Amount The amount the court found you to be legally responsible to repay.
  Asset Amount The dollar amount of total personal assets used in the court's decision. The Asset Amount can include items of value that can be used to pay debts.
  Exempt Amount A dollar amount claimed against you, but an amount in which the court has decided you are not legally responsible.

Creditor Information
This section lists the name of each creditor or potential creditor that appears on your credit report. These may include creditors on your credit accounts and those who have made inquiries. Each creditor's address is listed to the right of the creditor's name. When available, a phone number is listed for the creditor. Creditors without listed numbers must be contacted via the U.S. Postal Service.
